Thanks Aven99 and gpepper! Things have picked up a bit a work, so I will have to try harder to get this project finished. I started working in Zbrush on his suit. Most of his costume has been modeled and uv’ed. Will try to post a sceenshot later today.
B-Movie Entry: Blas Ingraham
Started working on the basic folds of his suit and the detailing of his shoes. Still have his hands to do.
Posed the base mesh in Maya and now am detailing it in Zbrush. For her dress, I am using ncloth, and am still trying to figure out her hair.
Started working on her skin and dress materials. I still have to take her dress staps into zbrush to detail.
Did a quick test render with two characters in place to check the lighting a placement.
Will start working on his “other” 2 brides.
Thank Eskarina.
As a big fan of yours, it comes as a huge compliment!
Good luck to you as well, your piece is fabulous.
This is really looking great! The characters are unique, powerful and really creepy. The setting is sweet as well. I also like seeing the in-progress shots you have provided, as they are really instructive to a 2-d artist like myself. Should be an awesome piece when its done and I look forward to watching!

Got the 2nd female vampire pose worked out. Still have to take her upper body into ZBrush to detail (give her a better expression).
Started caching the ncloth clothing.
Will try to work on the 3rd female vampire’s pose this evening.
Started playing around with the scene lighting. Still have some more work to do to the 2nd female vampire’s face - her jawbone is way too high!
Worked out the pose for the final female vampire, and did the cloth simulations - pretty happy with the cloth effects.
Now it’s time to start adding the character details.
Placed the characters into scene, adusted camera and lighting.
Still have a lot of details to create and adustments to clothing trim. Started working on the females hair.
All this needs is Bats flying in the Background…oh… and Hair. HEHE
if I have to nick pick on anything is that the lighting make it look like their on stage not outside in the graveyard. But You’re not done with this image so I’m sure this picture will rock after you’re done.
Thanks for all of the great comments!
Aven99: I have a bat that I used for a personal project that I might use. I created a basic skeleton and control him using set keys.
I thought a lot about how to light the scene, and I kind of like the more dramatic lighting, rather than using just the natural scene lights.
Still have a lot of cleaning up to do to the scene.
I worked on a basic hair setup for all of the female characters using shave, even though I always have to do a LOT of touch up work during compositing.
