B-Movie Entry: Blas Ingraham

#1

Blas Ingraham is entered in the “B-Movie” update: View Challenge Page

Latest Update: Final Image: The Brides of Dracula. Let the bloodbath begin.

#2

Not too sure if I will have the time to complete this challenge, but I couldn’t resist entering. Being a fan of vampire movies - what better to do than the king of all b movies - DRACULA!

Still working out the concepts.

#3

Started working on the pre-viz. My idea is to acually have them on the sound stage - so the angle will be changed.

#4

Now this is very interesting… Dracula…and all his brides… Lovely idea.

#5

Started to roughly block in object placements, to check the scaling before starting any major modeling. The figure is one of my base models, that I will use for Dracula.

Still trying to work out the details of scene. Will have to do a bit more research for the concept designs.

#6

Quick test render to check camera view.

#7

Some of the reference images I found. Kind of like the old abby.

#8

Started working on the background elements. Modeled and uv’ed the abby structures, created base textures in Photoshop and now have them into Zbrush for detailing.

#9

Did some more work on the abbey, and started to detail the cemetary fence. Will try to start working on the ground planes today.

#10

Created and detailed two of the headstones. Ground texture still needs some work though.

#11

Completed most of the background elements - have to start working on the trees and, hopefully will be able to add to the facade of the abby.

If time permits will try to start on the characters over the weekend.

#12

Did some more work to the abby. Changed the scene scale, lighting and camera. Modeled and uv’ed the trees (Still have to work on the material). Will stop working on the background and start on the figures next.

#13

Environment’s looking sweet Blas. Lots of detail back there.

#14

Worked on the design and modeled the base dress for the female characters.

Will start next on Dracula’s costume.

Then it’s taking the characters into ZBrush for detailing.

#15

Here are a few facial references.

#16

Did the basic modeling of Dracula’s suit.

#17

Took Dracula’s bust into ZBrush to start detailing. Looks like I got a little carried away doing the main part of his face - so tomorrow I will work on his ears and neck.

I think that I will do the facial expression in Maya and then tranfer it onto the ZBrush mesh.

#18

Started on the head texture and facial pose.

#19

That’s really looking good and this overall piece is shaping up nicely.

Keep going sir! :scream:

wow wow wow !
He is nice !
Great modeling job and texturing !
I hop you will find a way to put him in the composition and not losing the details we have to see on him ! I mean, emphasize him enough…
