Latest Update: Final Image: Island of the Giantlobster

I have some ideas but my fist will be that island, this was the first what i thinking about b-movie…

But what goes on?

So much ideas but i think there must be a loobster, a great, red and big loobster

All the day i have thinking about my ideas for the first step. But now i thinking about the lobster is good but, the island is not my favorite. My favorite will be the sewerage.
I think that will be better… a little bit creepy.

For this time the scenarium isn´t already in my brain. First i modelling my main charakter, the lobster.
The scenary layout is coming out of my brain for the next days, i hope so. It is growing in my dreams.

A little bit getting forward with the lobster.
It is quiet hard to model, because you don´t got a original good photos of a lobster…

The next step in evolution! :slight_smile:

The lobster get some eyes and the frontspikes are born.
I think that he is looking good for this step of modelling.

Also, this time it is time to leave the path of reality.
I have got the real viewing of the lobster into my inner mind and began to model on a creative and free way.
In this way i can give my lobster the viewing of my ideas.

OVERWORED -
Something to do all time is overworking my model.

  • got a new nose-like-thing
  • two new “eyes” are borne
  • the main tentakels are build
  • and a little bit charakter overwork complet

yes i do. I like nurbs.
It is like to shape clay. I like it very much…

I beginn a little bit confused.

I have thinking of something like a mouth. I think someone that is like the real, but a little bit with teeths or something like this bonecrusher.

I have model it and looking how does it feel. In forwardview auf the eating claws wich will grown out at each side of this mouth i think it looks good…

The bottomshield:

The base for the legs and all other arm-like-things.
I show you in several steps the simple doing of this modelling part.

The first element of the lobster legs.

I have search for a good image of the lobsterlegs. I have found a referenz wich shows perfekly the legs.

For modelling i do it without the image becouse i will a creative free modeling. My brain has got a visual copy of the base construction and i modell with the referenz of my brain.

I have model each section by their one way. This is enough to do my later settings for the lobster poseing.
But the final leg looks like good it is that what i want… :slight_smile:

I have end the modelling of the base leg. Now i have multiplied it and change the positions, motion and size.
After the position of all eight legs, the looking of my imaginary pic in my brain will be like that what i now see on my monitor.

In this step i have build up the claws of this lobster monster.
For this time i have thnkig, that the rest of the basestory is uncomplete. At the next step i give you some images for the ideas of the background.

The base of this story will be that mutant giant lobster. This Monster has grown up in the wastes of a lost base for nuclear ships. A young couple has do some fun in the deeps of that base…
and the fun finds them. :slight_smile:
