Auto Painting Question

in auto painting i selected custom setting with colors intense with a camel hair brush…my questions were do i have to change the paper type to get that painted look?also where can i find the tapered camel hair brush that i hear about & load it in my palette.My image comes out looking dark for some reason…help me

We would need more specific information to be able to help. Otherwise, we’re left to guess.

For example, when you say, “… with a camel hair brush…” I might guess you mean the Oils’ Round Camelhair variant. If that’s the case, it’s not a grainy brush variant (it won’t interact with the currently selected Paper), so you would not see the Paper texture in your brush strokes.

Please supply your Painter version number and say whether it’s a ‘lits’ Painter version that came bundled with your Wacom tablet (if you have one) or a full Painter version, the exact steps you’re using and the exact names of the brush cateogries and brush variants you’re using. Also include any other details that might help us to understand the situation.
