Is it possible to fade music in and out through combustion. I’m rendering a small clip with audio and the manual doesn’t mention if clips can be adjusted.

nope, Combustions audio is only for timing your animation IMO, & it does that poorly - its the only thing about combustion that I’m unhappy with - heres hoping it improves for c*3 
I keep a basic editor on my machine for adding audio tracks to animations
