Attaching Objects to Particles

Im trying to attach objects to particles, I can’t seem to find a tutorial for this on the internet and i’ve never used ICE before.

What I am trying to do is have a minigun that I modeled spray the empty casings randomly out the side, I almost have the particle emitter figured out, but not how to have it interact with gravity or collisions either.

Any help with this, or an easier solution would be appreciated.

I think you’ll need the “Set Instance Geometry” node. Add it to your ICE particle tree, plug the output into an “Execute on Emit” port on your “Simulate Particles” node, then double click on it to open the properties page, and click the button labeled “Pick” and select your casing object.

If you re-run the simulation, you should see all your particles take on the shape of the casing object.
