assign tablet keys to painter actions?

Can I assign the 4 keys on my wacom intuos3 to specific painter actions (such as undo etc) they now act as shift, ctr etc…

Yes, you can change the shortcuts in the Wacom Control Panel. Click on the Functions button. You can click on the plus button on the Applications Row and add Painter to the list so you can have shortcuts that are just for Painter.

thanks for the screenshot. Maybe I miss something but from here I cannot make them act for painter specific actions?

Choose “Keystroke” from the drop-down lists next to the buttons. It’ll bring up a dialog box where you can type in the keyboard shortcut you want (ex. Ctrl-Z for undo).

You can also customize Painter to add shortcut cut keys for menu items that don’t have them. Go to:

Edit>Preferences>Customize Keys

After you have added a shortcut key, you can map it to your Wacom tablet. I am using Painter X. I am not sure if this menu is in the same place for other versions.

Windows - Edit > Preferences > Customize Keys

Mac - Painter 11 (or appropriate version number) > Preferences > Customize Keys
