Aspiring animator; what do I need to work on?

#1

Hello,
I want to be an animator, and I’ve been doing some research and doing some basic exercises in animation, such as bouncing balls, walk cycles, overlap, etc.

If you could have a look at my work and critique it, and let me know what I should work on, I would be very grateful.

Also, feel free to ask any questions.

Cheers

Hey Giggleoriginal!
These animations are a great start and if you keep working and progressing the way you are going you will definatly be able to do some damage to the industry.

A few things to watch out for are you need to make things smoother and work on your arcs.
You should also have a look at the Animators Survival Guide and it will explain the proper way to do a walk with all the weight shifts and how the legs work.

hope that helps

Your animation looks like it’s going to be a fun project and the walk cycle looks very good. Well done.
