Artists Needed for Next-Gen Game (website/screenshots)

Artificial Studios is looking for new team members!

We are an upstart game studio developing a next-generation PC and console title for release in 2005, with an industry demo later this year. We have spent the last few years developing our own graphics engine and tools that rival (and in some cases exceed) the technology and features of upcoming engines like UnrealEngine 3.

We have the technology, and now we need the artists! We are currently seeking talented texture artists and concept artists to help us finish our two new tech demos. Soon, we will be seeking people to fill all of the positions on this page: http://www.artificialstudios.com/positions.php

Because we’re just getting started our company works and collaborates entirely on the internet and through voice-over IP. We have an extremely open and creative development process, and are continually investing in artistic and technical growth. Members are encouraged to take on new types of tasks from time to time and are frequently provided with internal tutorials and learning material. Due to the advanced nature of our technology, our team members are getting a head start working with tools and concepts that most of the rest of the industry has hardly started using yet. This makes our team members extremely competitive and valuable.

The one thing we can’t offer right now is money, because we aren’t commercially funded. All we have is a handful of extremely dedicated people working nearly full-time to make our dreams come true! However, we are currently offering “deferred payment with royalties” contracts to our team members. This means that if the studio takes off and the game does make it big (and it will!), everyone will get rewarded for their hard work. Additionally, team members get developer discounts on related hardware purchases, and sometimes receive pre-release hardware upgrades from sponsoring manufacturers. Team members are free to use the work they do at Artificial Studios for self-promotion (demo reels, personal website, etc).

To read more about our game, our company, and to see some of our technology, please visit our website at http://www.artificialstudios.com. If you’re interested in joining our team, send an e-mail with samples of your work to recruiting@artificialstudios.com.

We hope to hear from you soon!

Sincerely,

The Artificial Team
