Artists needed for 3D Master of Orion like game

Hello there, we are developing a 3D Space Opera game. A space opera is a game very much like Master of Orion/Civilization in space where you play the part of a space-faring race. You’ll explore the galaxy, colonize planets, engage in warfare and much more.
We are searching for all kind of artists (both 2D and 3D). Unfortunately I cannot offer any compensation BUT keep in mind that there are no such games being developed by professional companies that are in 3D, at least that I’m aware of. So a commercial release might not be totally out of the window.
But if you like drawing/modeling space related graphics and are not yet an expert, then this would be an excellent opportunity to further hone your abilities and possibly show your skills to a global audience.

Skills in these fields would also be useful:

[li]Fractal Landscape software knowledge (such as Mojoworld, Terragen) - Useful tools to generate planet backgrounds[/li][li]Shader development (the game is being coded in Managed DirectX via C#, so if you are able to code beautiful pixel/vertex shaders it would be of immense help)[/li][li]Anything that I can’t think of, but you think it would make a nice addition[/li][/ul]Here are some screenshotsof the game. i have quite a few spaceships/dropships and planes lurking around on my pc, which i can show you.

This project looks interesting, i would like to know more about the storry or some consept drawings.
I have been working with c4d for aprox 3 years now, have allso tryed 3dmax and maya but c4d is my best choise for now and modelling is my best side, and animation is my weakest, but i am trying to improve all over the scale by doing tutorials and practice.
I have wery little work posted around on the net because about 95% of my projects is unfinished, i have some pictures of my models posted in the space opera challenge here on cgtalk.

I loved MOO3 back in the day, and this game project (after looking in the ‘forms’) looks like there are some dedicated people behind the scenes

SO, I am here to offer my assistance. I know some programming languages to some extent (C++, C). And I could also make some models. But from the looks of things yall need a website more than anything, and in that field. I can help. (I know HTML, DHTML, XML, Java, JavaScript, PHP, and more. So if you need any help e-mail me ASAP, so we can discuss what we need to do.

Hey,

You need anyone to model creatures? I’m sure it won’t be too fun if you don’t have something/one to run into, right? I’m not much of a shader writer but I can do a passable rig. Oh, yeah, I work in Maya.
