Art Director
The Animation Farm is currently seeing an experienced Art Director to join its team of veteran artists in Austin Texas. This position requires an experienced and motivated person to provide art direction and leadership while maintaining the standard of quality, style guides, and production deadlines of all projects. This position is very hands-on and requires an Art Director excited and willing to do actual creative. This position also requires direct staff management responsibilities, staff training and development, as well as participation in client meetings and pitches.
QUALIFICATIONS:

[li]A formal design education. BFA, in Graphic Design, animation or other related discipline.
[/li][li]Experience with various levels of art direction responsibility for 8+ years in a Lead or Supervisory position in the Gaming or Animation Industry!
[/li][li]Capable of balancing projects creative and visual requirements with schedule, budget and staff limitations.
[/li][li]Must demonstrate an understanding of storytelling and design process as well as ability to integrate them while ensuring that the high production values are never compromised.
[/li][li]Able to drive projects from beginning to end with little assistance or supervision.
[/li][li]Proven digital and traditional abilities in design, illustration and animation required. Must be able to draw traditionally.
[/li][li]Excellent design and illustration abilities in digital and traditional mediums.
[/li][li]Demonstrates a high level understanding of design process/methodology and how it is integrated into art and animation production pipelines.
[/li][li]Self-starter with high-level of initiative
[/li][li]Passionate about their work, committed to their discipline and its challenges, and a high-level of energy
[/li][li]Strong sense of ownership and discipline
[/li][/ul]Technical requirements
Must have extensive knowledge and experience in the following software Packages:

[li]Max, Maya, Photoshop, Zbrush, Premiere, and after effects.
[/li][/ul]
