Hello everyone! So… i have a little problem here… i have been using Ptex for a while and my UV Mapping skills haven’t really improved that much, although i managed to get over that, i was practicing with a model i did and i have this particular question… i created a character with a bunch of objects here and there, i want to lay them all together to create one single map for different groups. I already uv mapped each object individually, now i only have to arrange them together… i tried to use the Layout tool in Maya, but it always breaks all my uv shells into a million pieces, what should i do for laying them together without breaking the current uv shell?? :banghead:
Arrange Multiple UV shells into the same Layout

Okay, okay… i managed to understand where is my problem. This is what’s happening right now:

Objects with the UV Shell on the left are the ones that lay out properly, but the ones that have the UV Shell on the right, split in million pieces. How do i solve this?

Hello Oglu! yeah… i basically spoiled everything when i was transferring the attributes between objects. It’s like if it had duplicated each uv. Very weird. I simply uv mapped one of the malfunctioning objects again, and then transferred back the attributes from this one to the rest and the Layout is now working properly. Just in case anyone in the future has this problem, it can be solved like that. Thanks anyway. ![]()
