Arnold Volume Scattering

Hi all,

   Is it possible to control the volume scatter contribution of individual lights within Arnold (MtoA)?

When I change the volume attributes it affects universally to all lights. What if I want to create a variation in volume of scatter?

One way I though of was creating render layer and having two different volume passes, is there any other way?

IIRC there should be a “contribute to volume”-checkbox or something similar on the light shader. turning that off will take only that light out of volume contribution.

I don’t want to take it out entirely, I just want to minimize its effect.

I did it another way. Created two lights, one to cast volumetrics and the other the illumination. I reduced the exposure on the light that casts volumteric and increased the illumination only light’s exposure. So that way illumination stayed same, got less contribution from volumetrics.

Well I am curious to hear any other method over mine too. Apart from render layers.
