In Maya 2022, trying to render a simple test animation using Arnold. render > render sequence.
I get the same frame rendered over and over. In the common tab, I have the frame/animation ext.
set to name#.ext. My frame range is set. I tried to use batch render, but that caused an error.
I am using passive and active rigid bodies as well as a gravity field in the animation if that makes
any difference.

I would try “name.#.ext” instead. That’s just the kind of stupid bug you’d get in Maya
Which error do you get with batch render? I had a problem like this when I first tried it, with Mental Ray in Maya 8.5. It constantly has all these shitty problems, no other 3d app is this bad
