Arnold batch render memory issue

#1

Hey there and sorry for my english in advance!

So the issue is, that when im batch rendering animation through CMD, every time another frame got finished, usage of RAM for process mayabatch.exe increases for about 200mb.
Considering i got pretty much weak PC (c2q@3ghz 4gb RAM), render generally fails on 10-th frame in a sequence with memory error.
Same with batch through Maya interface, but error comes out faster, because Maya itself using some memory.

Any help would be much appreciated!

It’s not necessarily Arnold  unless you can reproduce it with kick and an ASS file. More likely is MtoA or Maya.

Did you check the memory stats in the Arnold log? Where is the memory going?

I tried to batch same scene via Maya 2015 and it just went okay. No memory usage grow after each frame got processed.

Still, i’m curious what’s the problem with Maya 2016

How could i check memory stats?

Set the log verbosity to Debug, render, and then review the Arnold log.

soz for being so late on reply, here’s logs

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hlkyclr05b75fgj/arnold_memory_issue_logs.rar?dl=0

as you can see, memory usage growth every time frame got rednered out
so it will, until batch will finally crash with error

btw, this one was tested with latest mtoa 1.2.4.3
the results are just the same
only version 1.2.2.0 works well on my pc

Tested same scene with mtoa 1.2.4.3 , but maya 2015
Works well, memory unload appears after each frame got rendered.

Could it be that issue comes out because i saved scene, that originally was created in maya 2015, as maya 2016 file?
I got no opportunity to make that kind of tests now :frowning:

Okay, i pasted objects from maya15 to maya16 fresh scene, same issue’s here.

Created new scene in maya16 with basic setup and render went okay!
Seems like i just got to continue my project in maya15.
But im still curious what is the root source of this problem.
