Approach for this kind of image/render (Workflow)


HI all

I was wondering how i should go on about creating an image like the one attached?

i have tried with path from illustrator, and splines from cinema, then extruding and cloing. For some reasons i can’t get even close to the picture.

Any hints/tips would be greatly appreciated.



I would personally create one hex grid, pull up and push down adjacent “points”, then duplicate and offset. Hope that made sense. You would treat them as separate objects instead of one.


Yes, exactly as Remi described. Model a single three-pronged piece & clone it accordingly.
