Anyone install MotionBuilder 7.5 on Vista x64?

Has anyone here had success installing MotionBuilder 7.5 on a Vista Ultimate 64-bit machine?

 I know MB 7.5 doesn't claim to be compatible with Vista, but I haven't had any trouble installing quite a few, much older, 32-bit programs.
 
 Every time I try installing MB, the installation ends up hanging at the very end during which it's trying to "load or install" the license software.  I end up having to terminate the InstallShield which then gives me this error - "1628:Failed to complete installation."  
 
 Even though the installation never finished, I was able to register and use MB to some degree, but it was rather unstable.
 
 One thing that doesn't work is if I try an load any of the content on the Welcome screen that new users are presented with.  Clicking on any of the links on the Welcome screen causes MB to freeze.  But the rest of the application seems to be functioning.
 
 Any help/insight will be greatly appreciated.

I’ve pasted part of the response I recieved from Autodesk/Alias Hotline Email Reponse below, but I’d still like to hear from anyone who has had experience trying to install MB on Vista/Vista x64. It’s too bad Autodesk shows such little support of the current version of MB.

Sorry, but we can't really help you out here. The product is not supported on Windows VISTA yet, from what we know so far. 
 
You can try switching off Aero and running the application in XP compatibility mode in VISTA (right-click the application icon on the desktop AND CHOOSE XP sp2 as compatibility mode) - but there are no guarantees it will perform as expected and we cannot offer full support. 
 
With regard to the error with the install hanging at the end. This issue is commonly seen by users uninstalling/re-installing the application whilst the FlexLM license manager is already installed and running- the workaround is to choose not to install the client/server licensing tools as they already have these installed.
