I have been looking at universities for undergrad transfers.
I am stuck mainly between VA tech and VCU.
Both their arts are amazing, but leaning towards VCU.
Now VCU is 98 miles from home, so I guess I would have to pay 5k to live there, but VA tech is only 23 miles.
Also Va tech is a bit cheaper.
So which one would you guys recommend for graphic design, mostly modeling and game design?
Dane, who’s the main 3D prof at tech now is a great guy, and the program is improving every year. Modea is expanding big time in Blacksburg, and that’s going to be a potentially great opportunity for VT grads.
I’m from Richmond. I spent quite a bit a time looking at different programs offered by schools throughout VA. After checking portfolios from students in their junior and senior years (a few from tech), I found that VCU was looked to be the strongest. Though if you do find the chance to study out of state, I highly recommend that you take advantage of the opportunity.
