I don’t really get it, because even at a computer different from my home computer, I don’t have any problem. But I’m sure that you can find the google book by Googling it.

I don’t think it’s the browser.
I guess the point is, we’re outside of the U.S.

There’s been a paragraph on how google and the US rightholders got together and there’s also explanations on how google is trying to give people the chance to buy a book once they found it.

Can you see the full book, complete with illustrations or excerpts?
Also, do you have an option to buy the book for the full version in case there’s only excerpts?

I had the same road block when I tried to follow your link to that one anatomy forum artist who had an e-book published, as you announced - no book, just a few amazon links.

You can use a US located browser proxy to view it (see here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_proxy if you want to learn more).

As to what’s there - you can read parts of the text from inside the book, some pages are not included in the preview; apart from the cover ones there are 2 drawings (of different weighted lines), all other are covered with white boxes signed ‘Copyrighted image’, the boxes often cover portions of the text as well.

I haven’t noticed any way to buy the full version, just links to amazon and other bookstores (like on the Europe-available thumbnail page).
