Hi SophieMagnante, do you mean that you having trouble with the moving holds? that your character freezes for certain moments in the reel? But before I touch on that, I find that your acting in that Disneyland clip need to be reconsidered.
First I would suggest you to film yourself acting both characters, and If you already did so, to try acting again with different acting choices. The dialogue piece you selected is very good, the beat changes are: 1. I am curious, 2. I can’t believe it, 3. I celebrate. Capturing the change in emotion is crucial.
Anyway, about moving holds - Have Strong Poses! half your work is already done if you already have solid poses to work with. One of the simplest way to get a moving hold is to let the character “rock” slightly by splining the keys and tweaking the tangents.
Other Stuff:
- The walk needs more work, The weight shifts are missing
- There is lots of twinning going on (Symmetry in the poses)
- When the girl turns, have some parts of the body lead the turn, and the other parts drag
- Watch out for the knee pops - don’t over extend the IK controls.
I hope I don’t discourage you with the wall of text. Good Luck and keep at it!
