Bah, i thaught you were going to make geometry going round the rail path 
But is nice. Some good use for non-fixed textures.
Use the morph bone tech for that…I figured since I showed that already it would be good to show how to do it with textures…both ways work well though.

this would do what I think your after…but in the end you couldnt tell the difference in the final animation…and that is all that matters

Reminds me of property_web.mov where u make a worm follow a bone chain.
A question though, you say in the pulley video, we should make on Z axis. What happens if it is done on other axis or even arbitraty (although you can always start in Z and rotate)?
