Animated Texture as Texture Rate Particle Emission

Hello everyone,
I’ve been stuck trying to figure out the issue of my problems through conventional methods: google, etc… for a few hours now, going on days… At any rate I have a simple animated texture where by particles are supposed to emit from the white areas of the animated texture, the rest of the image is black. It appears to pick up the initial frame and just continues to emit from that region for the duration of the animation. I have the “Use Image Sequence” checked inside my image file and it even behaves properly prior to batch. I’ve tried both particles and nparticles, with the same results.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Maya 2013 and Windows 7, i7 processor, 24 Gigs ram, GeForce GTX 260, not sure if any of that matters…

Do a search here for Ben’s or my posts, its a bug in Maya where you have to use an expression to force it to read the texture correctly. :frowning:
