he does look Vincent Price-ish lol, very nicely modeled and subtly painted…the Mongolian gramps looks a tad grumpy, but nice montone look and well painted, the only things that pop out at me are the mouth - looking a little too farwardly placed - and the ear - a little too far back…but minor things…
looking forward to your Vincent and Bulldog…

:)Hi all,
great to see Siju having posted these two 3d characters here…and I feel much greater to see the wonderful feedback it’s been getting from you respected artistes!
I am [color=LemonChiffon]Anish Mohan, and am the one privileged to [color=PaleTurquoise]3d model these 2 characters for Siju. It has always been a wonderful learning experience each time I take up modeling assignments from Siju.
I’ve been his subordinate, student (and friend?) for the past 5-6 months and it has made major changes in the way I work and the way I see art! I’d be, forever, indebted to him for the selfless teachings he’s showered on this fruitcake.
I use this opportnity to thank him, on this the greatest forum of cg artists, for everything he has taught and for helping me set a path to explore more in art…
( and all this here, becoz I know he’d just brush me off if I tried sayin this on his face[/color][/color] :shrug: )

Thomasphoenix you are one hell of an artist! These last 2 are gorgeous! Their color palette bring a nice peacefull mood, allthough the last subject looks like he’s about to tell me to stop rambling and continue working hehe.

ItsThanks to you I have the courage today to copy from the
Grand Master of Fantastic art!This and all other paintings I will do henceforth will be bcause of your having come into my life! Or else i would have been a b&w man for life!

No, thanks to you for creating such art! May I ask you to share the technique? Maybe some step images. I want to try something new and I find your style interesting and great looking.

I like fantasy art. Where did I read this “every fantasy artist must paint a “dash through battlefield” pic”. Just as some guys I know used to joke that a real 3D artist must create a kitchen, a chick and Audi TT.

EDIT: Oh, forgot to ask. Has Frazetta painted a “dash through battlefield” peace? :smiley:
