Anatomy Thread of razz - 2D/3D

#1381

Hi Razz

Awesome self portrait! love it!
The colours are great, I’m a little curious about the left eye, I like the effect - and I guess I don’t really need an explanation  White to me is pain… that really sharp ‘ouch’ pain… so a white ‘hole’ (?) going through the eye socket is a pretty big ouch ;).

Great to finally have time to visit again, and as always - your work is inspiring and ever evolving :arteest:

cheers & take care

Annette, haha, I guess one can find many hidden thoughts in any self-portrait. Unfortunately, I had none when painting that one. It’s fun how people think of something themselves and I wouldn’t want them to stop doing so  Thanks you!

More studies. I’ve other stuff in the making. Hopefully, updates soon

#1383

This is proof I need to work much more from imagination. Oh, I’ll get better…

#1384

HEY RAZZZZZZ

OPOSSING CURVES will really add RHYTHUM to your figures, creating the sense of motion that goes with any action.FORSHORTENING with OVERLAPPING of VOLUMES in the figure will also add alot to the action.
Your figures will remain frozen and stiff without them.
Try to imagine how RUBENS would have done that figure that you just created…
Just a couple of suggestions that might be useful to you as you work from your own imagination…
TAKE CARE
Glenn

Mmm, beautiful pencil sketches!! I love those tones. Legs are all drawn very well, too.

Good to be back and browsing here again!

#1386

hai razz, nice updates buddy! i like dat gun model u really did well! and i totally agree with Glenn; combination of strait and curve lines makes a picture more lively and energetic. and i can see lot of strait lines in your imaginary works [especially human] datz why it looks a bit stiff… try some opposite curves defntly it will make some difference. continue with your inspiring works buddy, and all the best wishes.

#1387

hey razz - good stuff! Nice gun hehe - I’d love to see more organic models from you

#1388

Glenn, thanks for reminding me that! I always seem to forget lots of things when drawing/painting. Gotta work on it until it becomes second nature so I wouldn’t have to think about it. Now, I have to try and not forget to think about it. Yeah

Jason, thanks, mate! Glad to see you here again!

Ratheesh, thank you! I think I’ll work on my linework and drawing skills overall. That should help me

Magdalena, thanks! Ah, I’ll see what I can do

An anatomy study after someone else’s study, don’t know the name, sorry.

#1389

Very clean and crisp drawing of the anatomy

#1390

Oh man I’ve been seriously slacking on my anatomy knowledge this summer.
Must change that!

#1391

Lessthanhumanz, thank you!

Johan, my thoughts exactly! So I’m trying not to stray too far from the path now. Reminding myself of what Bumskee wrote here some time ago

Here’s something. WIP. I’m having one of Bumskee’s paintings by my side to help me out a little with certain stuff. Crits, please!

#1392

Tiny fast study after Carlos Huante

#1393

keep 'em comin

#1394

Geras tas charas kur su bumskee’io art’o pagalba rashei, tik man gal taip atrodo, bet wengi koju char’u ar klystu? Po to bus labai sunku pastatyti, jeigu dazhnai to wengsi…
Shiaip malachius, tik kaip wasarai bishki kudai gal.

#1395

Johan, oh, they’ll come, in time

I’ll call this one finished

#1396

Wow! That is real stuff! Professional quality! Good characters.

#1397

Mister3d, haha, I wouldn’t say so myself, but thanks a lot!

The colors were bothering me, so I played around a bit. Now I can leave it.

Something imaginational. I’ll get more original with my next one, ok?

Study after I forgot who…sorry. Moleskine!

#1398

great stuff razz… not sure, maybe it’s your intention but I think the dark outlines around your character make it feel too flat… just MHO.

#1399

Hey Razz

I do like the painted character :wavey:you just finished! The colours work really well
great anatomy drawing earlier as well, as always it’s an indulgence to pop in here and
see your latest projects

cheers and take care
