You really kick it with those weapons… I really like last one in progress… Can i borrow it for afternoon :D:D:D?

So that is how you make the guns. Now i have DA SECRET, uahahahahaha , DA SECRET, I can smell the power now, all those girls going crazy for my guns

I told you guys razz is fake, it was DA SECRET because of what he drew those guns !!! lol :argh:

#1003

Heya Razz

great updates… cool to see you working more from imagination! I’m not into guns.
but can still appreciate that you’ve done a good job on these

about the background, I’d like to see you work on an environment (dark and subtle, but
still a scene helping to tell the story…) where did he get the crowbar from? has he used it?
or is he about to use it? Barren landscape on a dark and stormy night… hmm I’d best stop
before I get carried away  NIce work though, keep it up and look forward to next update

cheers
a.

Staticpen, thanks for the crit! Thought it’s still at very early stages and I’m sure loads of things will be changed. I will surely seperate the character from the background.

Anand, thanks!

Selphoo, thank you. I’d post more progress of my paintings if I thought they would help anyone, but I don’t, haha.

Miyamoto, haha, where’s the secret in that? Just trying to make it simple, a step at a time.

Annette, ooh, thank you! I think you’ve just put me on the path of what to do with the background. I deifinitely want something dark, moody and yeah, it would be good to have a backstory for the painting. Will do some thinking. I must thank you again

Little update. Lots to do, lots to change and add. I’ll keep working.

And now, I’ll be gone for about a few weeks. I’m going on a trip. Will hopefuly bring some sketches back with me!!
See you after a few weeks you crazy artist people!

#1009

Happy vacation, Razz! Hope you will be able to spare some time for the workshop when you come back!

#1010

Johan, thanks! It was exciting.

Annette, thank you. Not much updates though…

Glenn, thank you my friend!

Miyamoto, I know you were  Thanks!

Anand, thanks mate! I don’t think I could do something for the workshop in the few days that are left. But I did start a study in 3d after Damien Canderle. Will post here when it’ll be worth showing.

Well, haven’t drawn much while I was traveling and just when I got back I left again to visit some of my friends (also cg artists) but that didn’t work out and I didn’t meet them…So here I am back in bussines now.

I did draw a page of hovercraft thumbnails, but I want to make them digital. Here’s a few:

I have more drawings that I want to turn into pixels so more updates should come soon.

Oh, I finished reading Hogarth’s “Dynamic Figure Drawing” on the trip. Then when I got back I ordered three new books, wheee!! One of them is the one I wanted to buy for a long time, called “Alla Prima: Everything I Know About Painting” by Richard Schmid.

Photo Camera was my best friend during the trip

Looks like a great vacation :D.

#1013

Thank you Glenn and Sycen! It was a good trip  Seen lots of stuff.

This one took quite some time. After James Hawkins.

Shitty photo, sorry. Didn’t fit in the scanner because it’s near the edge of the paper where that spring kind of thing is.

#1014

Nice study Razz
I like the direction you are heading towards, although you are in for some tough competition, looking at all those nice concepts on that link you posted

Looks like you had a lovely tripp.
Good to have you back though

#1015

Hey razz, I’m glad to see IFX contacted you on my recommendation! Here’s a link to the scanned article that just came out in the July 2008 issue.

#1016

Hey Razz! Thanks for the beautiful photos!! Great to see your painting featured in IFX!! :bounce: CONGRATS!!

#1017

hahaha, grats on the magazine bit, dude! I was looking through that issue the other day, and I passed by that page and thought, “hm, that looks really familiar… I think I saw that on CGTalk… Naaaaaah.” Hahaha. But it was legit! Anyway, grats again man.

#1018

Congrats on gatting your painting in IFX! I had read the article, but did not make the connection with your name. Great job!

#1019

Johan, competition is everywhere so what’s the difference really. Besides, where’s the fun when it’s too easy?

Rebecca, thanks for recommending me! It’s really great to have my work published, hehe.

Anand, hey, no problem. I have more…just drop a line if you need them. Good for references

Staticpen, thanks mate! Great updates in your thread!

Ceruleanvii, see, now you know my name

Damien Canderle study I’ve been talking about. Not finished yet, lots to do.

#1020

Hey man, thanks very much for taking a stroll in my thread.

But hey, are you working in ZBrush here? Looking swell so far.
