Anatomy Thread of Peca

#1

well, I decided to jump on the head challenge (though a bit too late, so I guess I’ll be posing the heads here instead), I thought it would be a great way to get to know the human head:)
my first go

001:
ADAM, Lambert-Sigisbert
Head of ‘Water’
1737
Terracotta
The Hermitage, St. Petersburg

yes, it’s not good, but I really had a hard time with the hair and the teeth! But I can’t use forever if I’m gonna draw 50 heads in a month :open_mouth:

hi Peca!

very nice first head! And I’m not just saying that, I got so frustrated with that one I gave up

I’d love to see more!

#3

Hi Peca! Nice start indeed. The one thing that jumps out at me are the eyes, they look very flat right now and could use some shading on them. But yeah if you’re going to do a lot, just learn as you go

Welcome Peca!

You have a great start here, and I look forward to seeing your progress with the 50 Portraits Workshop!

Do you mind telling us a bit about yourself and your goals?

Cheers,

-Rebeccak

Hi, thank you everybody  I’m almost done with the second one too now!

Rebbeckak, I’m an 17 years old art student! I’ve always been interested in digital art, and since we never learn this at school, I decided to learn it some other way… So I found cgtalk was a good place to begin!
My goal is to be a decent (maybe great, I guess we’ll se) digital artist! Mostly I’m interested in capturing emotions in both face- and bodylanguage!
I’m interested in painting/drawing all aspects of people, both hair, shoes, clothes ect

I’ve still got a long way to go, but painting/drawing is my passion so I won’t give up so easily!

Peca: [font=Century Gothic][color=LemonChiffon]Hi Peca! Some nice studies here. What i suggest is to look at whatever you do with a positive attitude, and to try and see the bad parts in your images so that you can either repair the areas or learn from them.

I particularly like this, however it may need some more darks as it does seem somewhat flat.

I think your ALGARDI, Alessandro study has a really nice 3d feel to it, good job!

#16

Thank you:)
I’m kind of in the middle of a lot of thing, but I try to paint whenever I have the time! It just thay they all seem to come out wrong! Thats the reason for this major jump in image number!
I know I was supposed to stay positive, but I’m really not satisfied:S
