@razz: hehe yea, but i like twisted stuff, i like it real much, twisted cloth, twisted music and twisted drawings ;P. and if you want to draw then just draw grap a pencil and just do. i havent worked with pencil till 4 month too but now im enjoying it so much  its so great.

@intervain: hey thank you very much for stepping in my little thread here  yea, i need to do taht cd cover art in a finished drawing too, the other version i cant show you cause well you know not until the cds out

ok, i finished the first portrait and im off for a new one.

the hair bucks me a bit… well not all things can be perfect eh… some 12 more to go so lots of practise^^.

That’s looking great! The back of the head/behind the ear area should be a bit darker though. I think it’s coming along splendidly!

ich liebe es.

#43

A guy whose drawings and paintings you should look at (if you haven’t already) and get lots of inspiration is Puddnhead. True awesomeness!! Won’t be hard to find him using google

#44

@theresa: im glad you like it  youre right about the shading of the back though, will do that later

@razz: yea hes just awesome  i wanna buy his gnomon dvd but you know … stupid money

so heres the new lineart. its my friend sandra with moya our cute and cuddly little rat  she loves all kinds of cats so i gave her that cat fur tattoo.

#45

Amazing thread miss! I think you should try coloring the last portrait you completed, those Photoshop studies you made earlier have some pretty nice coloring going on, so I think you should give it a chance

greetings!

ok some updates but not on the pencil, im a bit busy renovating my new flat and doing some stuff for a friend i will show you when they are finished and the dvds out

since i decided for my homepage to be madpuppeteer.com im doing a puppeteer painting now.

gonna show you two version please state which you like best. thanks for all your support

#47

Most likely the second, since she has a pimp stick. Although I think a different color could be used for the outlines or even better, shading.

#48

oh yea dont mind the outlines and the plastic look its only a sketch so far and of course shje will be properly shaded without outlines at all.

currently im thinking about doing her full figure gonna sketch that now with some puppets lying around her hmmmmmmmmmm.

hehe yea womball i like the stick too. pimp stick sounds real funny hehe. is that like pimp my ride^^, pimp my stick lol :bounce:

#49

Somewhat

Pimps tend to wear big hats, have teeth grills, have pimp sticks. And they like 70’s platform shoes for some reason.

#50

so austin powers is a pimp? haha, hadnt known what a pimp is

gonna do the rest of it on paper since all my only digital stuff tends to be boring i want her more screwed and more dark and more mad. we will see…gonna watch donnie darko dvd while doing that, mostly that really helps with more mad and more screwed

#51

He isn’t. They are actually disgusting people, but they look funny. It is appropiate for the puppetmaster thing you are going for. They tend to control people.

#52

oh… i totally got it wrong then… i thought of funny 70s people in a alice in wonderland style and not of that.

hm here in germany the tend to wear golden neglaces, real ugly ones, have short slimy hair and sunglasses.

#53

Well they kind of are. If you could manage to draw one that made them look pathetic and likeable at the same time, than you would have drawn quite a piece! But they do control people, and this goes with your theme. So the stick works beautifully.

#54

I vote for the second one! Because she looks more relaxed in that pose. In the first image the pose doesn’t look like it would be comfortable, but in the second one it does look like it. Maybe she would look good if her clothes would be black and lit by a red light. Just a suggestion, it’s your decision. In fact, I don’t even how it would look, just trying to imagine. Keep up with the twisted stuff!! :bounce:

#55

yeah I agree definitely the second one! I’d also pull that hat a tad back because her head looks a bit ill proportioned with it in that position and the whole between the hat and the hair on top… cool idea though:thumbsup: more please…

#56

thanks for all the support

im doing a big sketch in my sketchbook now of the second one, it is more comfortable after all cause the back is bended so much. also need to think of a nice pose for the puppet.

@womball: thats a good point, so the pimp stick is a good symbol for her^^.

@razz: the cloth wont be all so bright red in the end but not all black, all black cloth are so boring to draw so much i love to wear them in the real life. i want her to be lit by a blue light in the red cloth, maybe i make it latex but dont know really.

@intervain: agreed about the hat, gonna do something about it, somehow it seemed like a good idea to give her only a half hat, dont know really why, we will see. mostly i get even more screwed ideas while working traditional dont know why.

decided to give her a clowns face, i really hate clowns, most scary things on earth along with porcelaine puppets. brrrrrrrrrrrrr

Some really mad, cool work here, Llynna (love the name, btw)!

I love the fluidity and expressiveness.

#58

wow, I haven’t seen this thread of yours before. Love all of your stuff ^^.
I really like that puppeteer picture, especially the second version. It’s great!

#59

You know, try using the airbrush/a really soft brush with FULL opacity to put down the base colors everywhere, then use progressively harder brushes to put in the details and sharpen edges. Just a thought- with the way you work, you may find it useful.

#60

Hey cool new piece - The second pose is definitely better. She looks like she would fall over in the first one. Love the puppetmaster idea too!
