HI Anand!
You’ve got a GREAT sketchbook…excellent inspiration…your sketches are really beautiful…
you have a great sense of figure drawing…:applause:
great 3D work too…
Love your work!
another hit by you Anand, I LOVE it, you know words wont express how much I love your work, show us more.
HEY! Wanna say to you, anandpg, that IT WAS REALLY TOUGH ONE mission to read ALL this thread! But i’ve made it!
And wanna say to you m8, the same things that everybody does: Your works’n’talent are REALLY IMPRESSIVE! IT’S TRUE!
P.S.: Sorry for english… Russian language is my native one…
Anand - That is amazing. What do you use to do that 3d work? That has got me interested again in 3d. Maya is just to difficult to learn though!
Man oh man, this is too good. I think I have said it before, hehe. But I’m really stunned after seeing this. Erm, everytime. Well it looks now that you’ll have to put in a lot of work in all areas to reach the detail level that’s on the face
Don’t know your plans for this one. Going to make it looking as a sculpture or maybe as a real granny? Just curious.
your works inspire me every week and keeps me motivated… more like a food for my inspiration
i am hungry for some inspiration…
updates please! :bounce:
You know I honestly prefer the simple clay material however this is not the point…
the point is… when will you update this thread eh?? eh?? You know that this sculpture is like a drug for me !
I agree with the wish for an update, your work on the old lady is truly impressive and I hope you’ll find some time soon to work further on the model…Can’t wait to see a final version:) !
Cheers,
-sabrina

Hey Sabrina!!.. thanks a lot!!...
here are the updates... I am going for full Sari instead of the "cut" one..unfortunately, I couldnt transfer the folds I sculpted earlier to the new mesh.. "zproject" brush not as effective as I thought... or maybe I am missing something.
...plus some details on the right hand.

full saree… yeah!
the pose is very nice…
i have few doubts thats bothering me, i just tried to position my fingers in the similar way as that of the old lady sculpt… and i am really not able to bend the first part of my ring finger and little finger when the first two fingers are slightly straight… (similar to that of the sculpt) is it just me?
she seems to be in a relaxed pose… holding the saree with just the tip of her fingers but then to get the 3rd and 4th finger in that position in a relaxed pose is very hard of me…
also i am feeling that the index finger is slightly long…because her middle finger is slightly bent and then the index finger is bent much more and still it is almost close to the tip of the middle finger… i may be wrong… please please help me clarify my doubts… i just want to learn…
For what I can see now, folds’ direction is perfect. Can’t wait to see the polished ones
someone mentioned the word elegance already… I think this is the perfect sculpt to put next to the description of that word in a dictionary
I tried what namnocilis said about the hand and I must say I have simular issues, but on the other hand (lol), it doesn’t bother me at all. It does not disturb the elegance at all, since the ring finger and pinkie aren’t really all that visible.
hi,
its been a wonderfull journey, I was glued to my seat till i finished watching your thread.
its also been very inspiring and i feel like i should start z-brush today!!!
your thread has content which will enlighten the beginers and its a great refrence to the experts too.
your process is very easy to understand and will keep the fellow artists to visit repeatedly.
your rubens study has been an excellent piece of work.
sure it is an homage to the great master rubens.
keep posting and spread your knowledge.
All the best for your future endeavours.
and am proud that my first post to cg talk is for YOU.
Hi …Anand …
BEAUTIFUL JOB ON THAT HAND …You managed to age it without the loss of it’s original elegance and grace…no overkill to be sure…just perfection, as is the case with the rendering of the rest of here …

I am wondering if the cloth that crosses her breast on a diaginal might look better if it were raised a little to encompass that breast, exposeing it’s undelying form more, while at the same time covering it more…and wrapping around higher up closer to her armpit…held in place by the pressure against it from her upper arm…might serve as a wrap around curve to carry the viewers imagination around the figure in a cirular motion …
Also …I think that the exposure of the feet gesture/posture might be used to really enhance the elegent gesture of the total pose…ballance/wieght,…suggessted motion ect…just a couple of passing thoughts that might be useful to you, don’t know, but thought them worth mentioning…
I am curious…What is the…Creative Essence…The Face…about that you were telling RAZZ about …?
Really looking forward to more updates on this piece…VERY INSPIRING, NOT TO MENTION…BEAUTIFUL…

TAKE CARE
Glenn
beautiful! she’s quite a lass still - her body feels to me more like a young woman’s one - in stance I mean… very upright
