Ohh beautiful beautiful beautiful !

I love her

#422

Hey man that’s quite a nice collection of statues you are getting here…
you must have a big house

#423

looking good! Vikram you have an Ay from me LOL

Oh are you going to make her realistic? she already looks much more so than the original sculpture - just wondering

#424

Hey Anand, beautiful sculpture…copy from Rodin! I’m just in awe of your work. Please keep going!

#425

Hey Glenn!! Thanks! I am happy to be of any help to you!

Hi Dhruba! thanks!

Hey Vikram!! hehehe!! I’ll just start sculpting with my feet!! hahaha!!

Hey Jacob! Thanks a lot, man!! thanks for dropping by!!

Hey Serena!! Thanks!! glad you like her!

Hey Johan!! thanks, dude!! big house? no… I’ll just get a bigger harddisk!

Hey Magdalena!! thanks! Yes, I am trying to make her realistic. Rodin’s simplification is a result of his mastery, so there is no use trying to copy that!:)… it will just end up being lame. I am just aiming at getting the pose and mood of his sculpture.

Hey Debbie!! Thanks!!

Taking some time off sculpting… random sketches from the movie “As Good As It Gets”… graphite pencil on sketch pad:

#426

the last one is Jack Nicolson , yes? well even though it isnt perfect, I think you really caught his essence. I know it sounds a little wierd, but I didnt need it to look EXACTLY like him for it to be him! (I just really hope that who it is lol)

#427

Hey Anand!

Great to see yu drawing sometimes too. It’s still the main thing that every artist, sculptor or painter, should be good at. Keep pushing it.
The sculpture, well, I’m speechless. I would really to see her textured not as a sculpture but like a real human. What do you think, mm?
And is it just me or you’ve gotten amazingly fast with sculpting?

#428

Hi Bryan! Thanks for dropping by! Yes indeed it is Jack Nicholson… glad you could place him!! My hand is so stiff from not drawing, its a wonder I could create any resemblance at all!!.. hehe!!

Hi Razz!! Thanks! I am happy to be drawing again! as for the sculpture, hmmm… i doubt if I have the ablity to make convincing skin texture. I definitely dont have the patience! …but I will give it a try, if you say so. I am thinking about a fitting backdrop/environment for her… its a bit too early, though… she has a lot more sculpting left on her!

a few more drawings tonignt to loosen my hand:

#429

HEY Anand!
Beautiful sketches here…The mood is so well captured in all! Its great to see your sketches…really helpful also to see your style

Wish I’d be able to acquire atleast some percent of the skill you got!!

Keep going and impressing…
Ratul

Oh man I immediately recognized him. I especially admire the way you captured his essence, and I envy your professional managemend of pencil strokes.

It’s CLEAR as sun’s light that you are a maestro.

Please spam us more and more

Hi Anand

Wow! great to see your drawings! and the sculpture of the woman is beautiful

I wish I had time to keep popping in more often :frowning:
but I guess it’s nice to pop in for “treats” when the time lords say “yes”

Jack Nicholson eh?..
Funny I was thinking just today, to set myself a new task to draw some famous faces - faces that many would know of… and then I pop in here and see mr Jack
I think the best resemblance is the one where he’s looking down - and the mouth-area in the one where he’s cocked his head on to the side… well done! and now… want to see more

take care and cheers!
a.

#432

Jack Nickolson is a nutta! or a genius! actually both

I think you managed to capture his genius well, but I would love to see more of that crazyness in his eyes

Nevertheless, these are highly enjoyable to look at.

Take Care
J.
