Anatomy & SketchbookThread of Kitami

#1

Hi All. This is my sketchbook thread now that I finally got to drawing, I’ve been rehabitialized from the addiction of gaming and can now do what I really enjoy which is working on drawing. In hopes to finally become good enough to start with digital coloring , inking. Id love to start creating my own concept art , comic book art etc.
( I promise I could write on for a million pages if I was allowed so , stopping right here and will start posting)

This is something I drew to kinda show where I am right now. I hope at the end of this sketch and anatomy thread to have progressed ALOT anatomy wise and in confidense with the lines I make.

Hand study

Some poses

Eyes

Ok back to draw some more … maybe coloring some

Hi Annie! great start! You are already showing improvement… the last one really stands out!

#6

Thank you Anand , your comment was alot of motivation.

Here is another sketch

Ok so been studying body builders. For some reason they seem a bit harder to draw than the art studies. The light seem to take away from some of the lines so I have to guess.
Still rather cool practise tho.

Hi Kitami

thanks for passing by my sketchbook thread …=)
yours is real nice too. Good to see you are studing body types. It is real important.
Keep the good study.

Hi Kitami, nice studies here; nice sence of depth. Try to get more confidence in proportions of the human figure. Keep going!

“I get annoyed cause it doesnt look right! sigh”

Yeah I know the feeling Kitami sometimes I get it too … =/
I think the eyes of the last picture is a bit big … The picture that you used for reference is a little smaller …The body is real good …=)
Keep the good study Kitami

Looks like you’re off to a great start!

The only advice I’d offer at this point is to watch the proportions as the legs seem a bit big in some of the drawings.
Keep going!

Hi Annie, very nice start to your sketchbook! I like the bodybuilders sketches. The guy that is holding the girl seems to have too small of a head. Keep going with the proportion studies, something I have to practice alot. Looking forward to more!

Great start !

Nice studies, keep it up.
I’ll be around following up.
Practice is everything.

Id love to start creating my own concept art , comic book art etc.

You will be doing so, just never give up, practice and study will take you there. You are on the right path and here is the right place to start sharing and growing to that objective.

Best wishes,

I agree you have to be really patience and never give up even if you get the worst results.

You have done a good start. I would suggest that you can put a tracing paper over your drawings and try to correct them and see how things work out, do more experiments. Also do the contruction as if you were creating something from simple forms. Use simplified forms and develop on them. That is what I found very useful, I hope you will too. Best Wishes.

You’ve got some great studies goin on! I really like your artstyle as well. Keep up the awesome work.<3

Great exercises (that’s what they are  ).

Bobby Chiu has a Video Sketchbook thread in the tutorials section of the anatomy forums.
He’s a brilliant peptalker so if you ever feel discouraged just take a blank sheet and a pencil and start his video’s…

Keep at it!
