Anatomy Lesson Series: Body Part 2 - The Torso

#381

Thank you all, Fatebringer, Redsand, MechaHateChimp, LaleLoh!! Doing great yourselves.

Fatebringer - give more freedom to your pencil, don’t be afraid of loose lines.

Laleloh - the same. Try doing some gestures of the same figure, play with the construction of the figure some more.

Redsand - nice definition of muscles, liked it how you made it compared to the original.

MechaHateChimp - aah, you’re amazing

Mal - you sure you’re not painting on your monitor with a brush? Great style, very real looking. I have to try that :arteest:

Aidanwilson - great study. The grain was done with PS? Would liked it more if the textury effect was achieved with painting.

Great torsos, everyone!! Nice to see so much people working on this.

Tried to paint one instead of drawing. I’ll never make all 50 in time, but might continue doing these after the workshop.

razz: Thnx man…appreciate that. This last piece you did is very nice as well.

MechaHateChimp: Thanx you. Yea, I got a lil lazy and just let the arms and legs kinda trail off on that last one. I refined one arm and one leg in this one…kinda…a little bit more. Mebbe this is what u had in mind? I coulda finished it off a lil better tho’. hehehe.

LaleLoh: Nice blocking of light and shadow.

michael-olszak: Niiice. Keep ‘em comin’…your gonna be bangin’ out some amazing renderings by the time this is said and done.

JoshT: Nice form.

NR43: That painted one is gorgeous! Love the highlights.

Iridyse: Nice translucent quality to that skin. Sweeet.

DiM: Nice study for only 20 min! I would make sure and watch for the proper twist of the body tho’ on the 3/4 view. Looks a little bit skewed.

Mal-1: Awesome movement and expression. Feels like this man is orating away.

ha-dou-ken: Very nice rendering of the form! Nice light, nice shadow…nice sense of 3 dimensions.

Gilgamesh: Amazing werk again!! Love the new style!

RobertoOritz: Great werk again!

Aidan Wilson: Really nice sense of light and form in that piece!

Great werk all!

Mal-1, Razz, you guys are Top Tier no question. For completely different reasons.

Razz, you’re too damn good. Hands of gold and eyes of crystal.:applause:

Mal-1, I especially love your impressionistic approach. Beautiful for my eyes. you really seem to capture the essence of the subject and don’t jsut copy it. I wish I could see through your eyes. Must be trippy:)

Laleloh-Your style is so clean and organized. I love it. I call it ‘flourescent’.Weird.

NR43 - I’m learning a lot from you. you always seem to have just enough to say with your brush without creating clausterphobia. I live you gradations and shading, I think becasue of the subtleness. I call your style ‘virgin’

Iridyse - So solid! Literally! The skin tones play really nicely together. The muscles really feel clenched and he looks uncomfortable. Nice SSS effects too haha. Illegal operation mixing 3d lingo!great work.:buttrock:

More crits soon! Let me finish one more though…
