Hey Glenn,

Man that is really good to hear. I have kinda been absent from the drawin scene latley due to work another fx project.

Mike was the best. That is a really good idea. I really like looking at the old stuff and trying to put it into a present or future context.

Yea that brush is one of lunatiques brushes. I just got Painter X today and fooled around with it. I’m hopeing robert chang posts an updated brush pack.

Fun with the real bristle system. Kinda hard to get used to but I really really enjoyed folling around with it today.

#122

Man, I really love your stuff! Great! I just picked up drawing, and struggling  Can you please tell a bit about how did you get to this level - the steps you went through, learning material, etc! Thanks!

#123

Glacierise-Thanks dude! I hit your pm.

Its been a while since I drew steadily last. I drew a couple times but they were so horrible i couldn’t post them. So heres number 5 and 6 after I started up again.

#124

Hah, quite high for a ‘horrible’ level  You are an inspiration, man.

#125

Really liking that last one - would love to see more at this level of finish.

#126

Ouu I really like that last one too, the black one with just the girl’s face showing. Nice job

#127

Hey guys,

Glacierise-you are too kind

Rebeccak- I hope i get faster, im so limited on time so I try and do these in an hour or 2 :frowning: one day tho! on my holidays…Painting all damn day.

Roja- Ty! i really like surfing flickr, some of the photographers are so talented at captureing a moment of emotion, its truely amazing. I hope to convey as much emotion in my art one day.

Speaking of flickr… took this guy from there, i liked this picture, he looks content and tired from doing what he enjoys all day.

#128

lol

at first I thought it was funny but then I realized how nice the subtil the values are in the face, even though it looks like you’ve painted at a rather high pace… I went more towards “wow”

You’ve got a wonderful way of putting facial expression down on canvas mate!

#129

nr43- thanks dude, i really like seeing photos that capture a moment of life. This is most likely that a game company has stolen my soul and time, i am only allowed to live work and I must attempt to compensate for my lack of life through my artwork.

Thank you flickr.

I got good news today. I have one week of normal hours before crunch resumes.

#130

You really seem to be hitting your stride, especially with that cowboy dude…so much personality and seemingly effortless brushwork, I can see the quantity of practice paying off…great stamina, looking forward to more.

#131

Hi depleteD, really love your faces, you convey their expressions so well! Keep it up!

#132

HEY…Andrew…

You can sell your time, but hang on to your soul/spirit…NOT FOR SALE.

I have to agree with Rebecca…your work is really starting to leave behind in it something more than the object of study…SOMTHING OF YOUR SELF’S…SOUL/SPIRIT…

HANG IN THERE…What did that guy in the movie Jurrasic Park say…
LIFE WILL FIND A WAY…IT’S JUST A MATTER OF TIME :scream:

TAKE CARE
Glenn

Some wicked work here! Try this, I can already draw the skeleton from my mind in front, back, and side views, and I am on only lesson 57 of a possible 228! Highly recommendable. Its all free, so nothing to lose really, only time

Oh shit dude, I found it while all tutorials were still free on youtube. That sucks. I highly recommend you buy the DVD’s. 43 hours worth, 5 disks, $35 (back when I bought them it was only £25, and that was about 3 weeks back).

[that is if you still need them. I saw a post with you saying you couldn’t draw the human figure form the mind. But then when I look at the date, that was over a year ago, soooo… a lot can happen…] Plus looking at this eye teaser thread, I doubt you need them now!

Such kind words, thank you all!

Rebecca- Thanks alot, I wouldn’t be doing this if u didn’t start this forum. Great work!
I’m gonna keep at it, hopefully for the rest of my life.

Aviva-Ty

Fl3wk-I definatley need to do these. I keep telling myself I’ll do them but I never do. Uhg! Thx dude.

Hey Buddy!

Great to see some more of your stuff man, you’ve always been a big reason for me to practice! Hope work is going well and all that, anyway i’ll drop you an eamil letter this week! Love the drawings, your skillz are getting wicked. Especially love the cowboy, a lot of character in his face. Proportions are looking better and better all the time, keep it up!

The shadow on the left of her mouth is not right, if i dare to criticise  But it’s great overall! I love your style man.

#139
