Opportunities include expansions to the current popular first person multiplayer game as well as an all-new next generation Unreal 3.0 version of America’s Army. PROGRAMMER:
The America’s Army Development Team is looking for talented a self-motivated programmer to join our team in Emeryville, California. Our game programmers contribute to overall game design concepts then work as a team to turn these ideas into reality. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked on at least one major PC and/or console game title and has a wealth of programming skills.This position will entail client and/or network application development using the Unreal Engine 3 technology for Windows PC. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills plus the ability to discuss technical issues with both programmers and non-technical people such as producers, artists and designers are a must.
Job Duties:

[li]Contribute directly to the design and development of the next major release of America’s Army.
[/li][li]Write, maintain, document and debug C++ code for the Unreal Engine 3.0 platform.
[/li][li]Complete assigned tasks and milestones per the established project schedule.
[/li][li]Assist Senior and Lead Programmers in maintaining code standards and practices.
[/li][li]Develop technical design documents (TDDs) pertaining to the project.
[/li][li]Work closely with small subteams of producers, artists and designers in a dynamic software development environment.

Qualifications:
[ul]
[li]3+ years professional programming experience
[/li][li]1+ years game programming experience
[/li][li]Solid understanding of Unreal 2.x or 3.0 game engine
[/li][li]Solid knowledge in C++
[/li][li]Basic understanding of 3D Math
[/li][li]Must be able to write clear and easily maintainable code
[/li][li]Ability to give accurate time estimates and work within schedule deadlines is critical.
[/li][li]Good debugging and problem solving skills
[/li][li]Solid written and oral communication skills
[/li][li]Must be able to work with QA personnel to resolve technical issues
[/li][li]Ability to learn new skills rapidly and apply them in support of project goals.
[/li][li]TCP/IP, UDP network programming knowledge a plus
[/li][li]Experience with MS VS .Net 2003, MFC a plus
[/li][li]Knowledge of Direct3D and/or Linux C++ programming a plus
[/li][li]B.S. degree in Computer Science, Math, Physics, or Engineering preferred.
[/li][li]An avid gamer with a passion for creating great games. Detailed knowledge of AA or similar games a plus.
