Now Hiring. The makers of America’s Army: Special Forces, is expanding its studio and looking to add highly talented, motivated game developers with a passion to create outstanding AAA products. Opportunities include expansions to the current popular first person multiplayer game as well as an all-new next generation Unreal 3.0 version of America’s Army. The America’s Army Public Applications Team, located in Emeryville, CA, is just minutes from Berkeley, San Francisco and San Jose. The studio is conveniently located near a variety of restaurants and retail stores and offers a wide variety of housing choices and numerous public transportation options with three International Airports in proximity.

Lead Artist:

America’s Army is looking for a passionate, highly skilled artist to help establish and develop a rich, immersive, First Person Action game in a realistic world setting from the ground-up. This individual will help motivate, mentor and manage a team of artists, and ensure a timely production of a AAA title with high artistic standards. This is a hands-on position and requires a devotion to building outstanding products in a dynamic and creative environment.

Job Duties:

[li]Work closely with Executive Producer Lead Designer to establish, develop and ensure project vision is realized.
[/li][li]Conducts periodic art and animation reviews with both team and leads to refine production process
[/li][li]Helps research and establish new watermark guidelines for producing a variety of next generation artistic assets
[/li][li] Provide daily, ongoing leadership and oversight of art and animation team in order ensure consistency and high quality in visual assets
[/li][li]Ability to provide accurate time estimates and work within schedule deadlines is critical
[/li][li]Must have the ability to coordinate own asset production along with managing others
[/li][li]Help develop and maintain an art asset production pipeline and repository
[/li][/ul]

Qualifications:

[ul]
[li]5+ years game industry experience (or comparable experience)
[/li][li]Must have shipped at least one PC/Console title professionally
[/li][li]Must have a an outstanding portfolio or demo reel demonstrating talent in multiple artistic disciplines
[/li][li]Expert skills with Maya or similar 3D tools
[/li][li]Expert 2d art skills and strong proficiency in a variety artistic software tools
[/li][li]Expert understanding of artistic concepts (value, color, composition)
[/li][li]Experience with animation, particle effect systems and/or 3D modeling/texturing a big plus
[/li][li]Strong understanding of lighting and how to apply it in a realistic game world setting.
[/li][li]Ability to communicate effectively with programming, design and project leadership personnel
[/li][/ul]·[font=&quot] [/font]Ability to provide accurate time estimates and work within schedule deadlines is critical

[li]An avid gamer with a passion for creating great games. Detailed knowledge of AA or similar games a plus.
