Ambient Occlusion in 3ds max.

#1

Hey guys. I wrote a tutorial for creating ambient occlusion with standard Max scanline. Here it is…

Thanks! I was always wondering how to get that realistic effect

you’ll never get occlusion without shotting rays… occlusion in ‘scanline’ it’s queer.
better say max default renderer… :)… thanks for this… but take care you’re also using light tracer… that’s not really the default max renderer…:hmm:

Yeah, I use Lightracer for ambient occlusion. It says that in my tutoiral.

Is there a tutorial for a typical lighting senario in VRay? I see people rendering the most basic, textureless objects and they still come out amazing.
