AiStandard not rendering transparent?

I have a materials for leaves.
In the material preview it shows a nice and slightly translucent leaf material.
However when I actually render my scene the leaves are fully opaque, also showing a black plane where normally the alpha should make the texture see trough?
In the render I outlined some of the places where you can see that the transparent parts are just rendering black.
Can anybody help with this?

Make sure you’ve set the Transparency to “On” in the Arnold tab in the attribute editor for the leaves

If I see it correctly, you connected the texture to the opacity. If so, you have to turn off “opaque” in on the mesh shape. Arnold does some optimisations if objects are opaque, e.g. it does not evaluate shadow shaders. If “opaque” is off, the opacity is correctly recognized.
