Hello everyone!

My name is Dave McCaig, I’m currently working in animation as the color designer on the Batman animated series (Don’t yell at me! I don’t write it! ;)) And I’ve recently starting production on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles CG feature, doing color and some effects work.

I also work in comics, as the cover artist on The Batman Strikes, and Adventures of Superman (Karl Kerschl pencilling AOS, me painting) and a bunch of other stuff. I recently colored the mini series Adam Strange for DC comics, and will soon be working on Ultimate Hulk/Wolverine for Marvel, as well as a few titles I can’t talk about yet.

On top of that, I run a teeny message board called GutterZombie primarily aimed at comic book colorists.

I don’t get much chance to paint for fun, so I decided to join you guys on CG to kick my ass into gear. There’s so much great, inspiring work on display, I figure it can’t help but force me to do some real painting and raise my art bar a bit. :slight_smile:

Anyway, looking forward to being as much of an active member as I can spare the time for!
