Afterburn: Explode Daemon Color Key Shift

#1

When I do the AB tutorial for the Explode Daemon and use the Color Key Shift… I get an explosion where the beginning particles are firey orange and the later they go to black smoke (as desired). This is using a standard particle system such as Snow or SuperSpray.

But when I have a PFlow particle setup, I can’t seem to get AB to have the same effect over the particle life. All the particles just show as the firey orange and it never turns to black smoke. Do I have to do something in the PFlow setup so that the particles actually have a lifespan?

Thanks for any ideas!

Yes pflow and aBurn need a lifespan value. Or really anything that implies change over age with pflow.

Just add a delete op :slight_smile:

or if you like a script op with:

pCont.useLifespan = True
pCont.particleLifespan = someValue
