After Effects version 6 problem

Hi,

I’ve been running Adobe After Effects 6 (standard version) on my PC for a couple of years now
with no problems. The operating system was Windows XPpro (service pack 1).

A few weeks back, I decided to install service pack 2 on the operating system so that I could upgrade Photoshop from CS2 to CS3 and - wham! - After Effects now refuses to run and only gets as far as showing me its welcome screen before dissappearing.

Does anyone have any thoughts on what may be happening here - it’s driving me crazy!

Trash the prefs --> C:\Documents and Settings[You]\Application Data\Adoeb\After Effects\6.0. In addition, check your graphics card driver and update it, if necessary.
