After effects electric color path?

Hi everybody

I´ve started a short film that needs something similar to the electric beam or color path (or ray beam? what´s it´s real name anyway? :P) for the “super speed” of a character.
Something like, you might say, the path we´ve all seen that flash and all super speedsters leave behind when they run.
I´ve tried with the particular, but it seems that i´m not very good at it at all; so if there´s anyone out there who would like to help me with something cool looking and easy to do I´ll be extremely grateful

I don’t think a electric bean is what you are looking for, you mean like a trail? Something like what the TV show “Heroes” has? I think that if you green screen the actor and then composite that over your footage you can get much better results… now if you have a static background you could get away with using time effects, which would make only the actor leave trails of him/her self…

As you can see now, you where right, “electric beam” wasn´t quite the word I was looking for, however I was looking 4 some color path, because my short is completely in 3d and not live action.

This doesn´t mean, however, that I´m not grateful 4 your help, thanks a lot, and again sorry 4 missing your entry :buttrock: :bowdown:
