Hi,
I’m struggling to get through the section of schleifer’s tutorials where he connects the arms to the hands. Both for the IK and FK.
IK is an endless cycle no matter what you do, whether you do it his way or your own way, it cycles and there’s no logical way to beat that that I can think of.
For the FK arm it feels like I’ve missed something that allows me to have the hand orient the elbow, but for the life of me I can’t find what I’ve missed or how to do it myself.
It’s also really confusing how he just shoves everything under controllers, as if the animators not going to find all his rigging hierarchy, I keep mine away from the animator and constrain it and I’ve been doing that which makes the setup all that more confusing, I guess this would be easier if I did everything his way but I haven’t been. It just feels way too messy and difficult to find stuff for me - which is exactly part of the reason why I can’t figure it out! :banghead:
Would anyone be so kind as to look at my scene and give me a walkthrough of how you would connect the arm up for both the FK and IK? You’ll find when you open it, that it comes up with a couple of cycles which is strange to me because it only cycles on scene open and not in use. Thought I had it figured for the IK but apparently not…
