AE script question

I was wondering if After Effects is script based compositor like Nuke, Shake or Fusion, by that I mean when you work in the other programs the program creates the script based on what you do inside its interface? I hope someone can clear the things for me. Thanks.

No.

You can, however, use scripts to drive many aspects of the application.
