Hiya,

I would like to know what you think would be more appropriate. I make and sell custom photoshop brushes, and no not image stamps - dynamic brushes that actually are useful in a digital painters toolset. Anyway - I’m considering running banners on sites and I think it would be useful to know if any of you purchase brushes or digital content and where you get these items or what sites you peruse and then find stuff of that nature. Do you even notice banners on photoshop sites?

No pressure and no - I’m not selling anything right now. I have my stuff up on reseller sites, but I’m creating my own digital content site and want to target marketing to customers in the right way.

I’m also interested in knowing in what you are looking for. Brushes are rather ubiquitous but, good dynamic ones are hard to find. Do you like templates or photoshop files? Do you look for certain stock art items and cannot find them? Is it tutorials that you want/need? If you saw a great tutorial - would it endeavor you to purchase a set of brushes or a psd file because of the tutorial?

Any feedback is better than none - even saying that you think it’s all bunk.

Thanks!

Every now and then I go on a brush hunt. I like brushes that I can drop directly into my presets folder. I like to use them for backgrounds in my scenes and I like them to have the ability to enlarge ~ in a big way. This is useful for folks who are making HD movies or print publications. I like to layer them, so sets might be nice. Layering makes things have more depth. For example I have a set of space brushes and there are a couple of galaxy brushes, If I lay one down in a grey color and then layer a smaller lighter white one on top, it looks 3d and really pops. I like this since I am a 3d animator and it looks seamless with the 3d work I am creating on top of these backgrounds. It’s also nice when creating a natural background to have brushes of hills, trees, flowers, stars, and simulated winds of various types. You could also do this with underwater, cityscapes, insides of homes, or futuristic sites (think games too). Sets of big brushes that go together, would not only give depth, and provide an ease of use but also perhaps impress. Good luck with your work, I took a look at your website, it’s nice so far! Gina
