Advice - Best way to erase hair on a skin texture in Photoshop?

#1

I am working on editing some skin textures and would like to edit out the body hair on them such as eyebrows. So far I have tried a couple of methods in Photoshop, such as using the clone stamp tool and erase brush to erase the brows, but it did not blend or smooth out so well on close examination. Maybe if I used a layer to mask it out, but not sure how good of a result that would be either to get just right.

So, if anyone can chime in on a good method for removing body hair from skin textures such as the face brows without messing up the texture that has the hair on it applied would be helpful. I just am not too sure how to best go about masking them out or erasing them to put on my own eyebrows or body hair when already applied.

Thanks for any tips.

You might experiment with the Patch tool (draw an outline with the tool, then click and drag) but the Clone Stamp or maybe the Healing Brush (which is like Clone Stamp but tries to help blend the edges) is probably your best way to go. Sometimes I’ll also just copy and paste a chunk of a layer over the spot I’m covering up, then go in and work with Clone Stamp to blend the edges. It just takes some finessing and patience, there’s not really a shortcut way to do it.

Yeah, I tend to agree with the above post. Clone stuff, and then use the Patch and Healing tools to clean up the result.

You don’t get it. He wants to have it replaced with skin, not just removing it.

Thanks for all the replies.

Since I am working with pre-made skin textures, I have mainly found the “clone” brush then “healing brush” adjusted to various softness levels works best for removing unwanted hair/makeup most times. So far I have gotten good results using those methods.
