guys why i cant install this ?pls help http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9325/adobeafeff.png

Unfortunatly CS4 requires intel architecture processors. Computers that use PowerPC chips are no longer supported. That means upgrading to a mac with an intel chip, getting a PC, or downgrading to CS3.

Theres a bit more information here:

Well, considering that it is a PC with windows Vista, that is probably not gonna help much. Even AMD processors ar “intel architecture” Anyway, without knowing more about hardware and software, there is no point in even trying to answer this. The OP has not told us anything that would help. It’s once more one of those “my car doesn’t run” questions (will people ever learn?)

Actually, he’s running XP with a Vista theme. You can see that the windows button cuts off at the top, that’s an indicator that it’s XP.

good eye!!

Looks like old nvidia drivers to me. But what ever it is, there is a good chance that you need new motherboard drivers / bios update.

And what the are you talking about with amd being the same arch as intel? That would never happen, plus they run totally different. A few marketing execs said that they are simular, but not even close.

#7

Of course they are the same architecture. Intel and AMD have cross-licensing deals to ensure just that.
Why else do you think software compiled for Intel x86 works on any AMD processor and not on PowerPC systems for example?

#8

Software is designed to be multiplatform/cpu arch. Like having 32 bit progs working on 64 bit. Some do, but not all.
The internal architecture of how bits are processed are layed out differently though, that is what I thought was meant initially.

It has absolutely nothing to do with software being compiled for multiple platforms because the Intel and AMD processors both conform to the same instruction set, i.e. architecture. They run the exact same binaries without modification or recompilation.

The internal implementation may be (and is) different between AMD and Intel chips but the fact is that the architecture is for all intents and purposes the same.

If you don’t believe me I think you need to read up on basic processor tech…
