Administration erases topic in Maxon 4D forum and do not even explain it

A Blender thread in Maxon forum with a lot lof links to tutorials was erased by this forum administration. They could have blocked it and even could have moved it to Blender subforum, But they choose not, they choose to erase it.

Blender never was big threat to C4D. C4D had a much nicer user interface and easier workflow.

Blender 2.80 is a massive threat to C4D with its new easy-to-use UI/UX design, and its cutting-edge EEVEE viewport.

A lot of C4D users were talking about switching to Blender from C4D in that thread, and this must have freaked Maxon out.

Its Maxon’s own fault on many levels. Maxon was always years late in integrating much wanted features into C4D. Maxon always charged a high premium price for C4D. And Maxon never ever communicated what is coming in the future to C4D artists.

So Blender is now more attractive to 3D hobbyists and professionals than C4D is.

Unless Maxon slash their prices in half, it looks like many C4D users will become Blenderheads instead.

That also does not address my point, they could have closed the topic and it was still available for the useful parts.

Yes, that is right, but actualy large parts of the thread moved into app bashing teritory and became personally insulting towards the end. Actualy I was surprised how long it stayed open. Too Bad. But yeah, at least some explanation by the admins should have been there.

The topic isnt deleted, is unlisted. Unfortunatedly it derailed bad, and wasnt useful, there was nothing on the topic you wouldnt find with a google search of “blender tutorials” except for the personal attacks between users, not limited but including a user daring another user to make a textured cube to show his skills, or someone calling morons users for not switching from C4D to Blender.

edit… Also, before it was unlisted, it was closed 10 times because many users flagged the post, and also there was several ignored requests from many users to chill out with the insults, so is not like it was a surprise for everyone that finally got unlisted. The administration dont need to explain why childish behaviour isnt accepted between grown up men in cgtalk. There is a sticky on every forum about why Versus threads arent allowed and “Think before you post”.

You opinion on non usefulness is yours, other person might think otherwise, for it was . I could care less what was written in there.

And do you want to talk about your own behavior there for example?

I supported the thread until it got derailed into a versus thread, it just took me a little to realize it. My behaviour is public for everyone to see.

Our personal opinion are moot, Cgtalk never has allowed VS threads. Its in the rules.

Thankfully neither your nor I care about what was written over there, so let it die peacefully.
