Hello everyone , i was practicing the use of global illumination and i came across something it doesn’t make sense to me , irradiance map ! the min & max rate vs subdivs and let me explain what is it , cause this max and mix rate supposed to create low to high resolution prepass maps to approximate the placement of samples right ! and subdivs its basically how many rays casted out from the camera , so i set my min rate to -4 and max to 0 with subdivs of 50 and interp samples of 20 in my test scene then the result is = 27k samples
i decrease my subdivs from 50 to 10 and the result is = 160k samples ! although the quality sucks but how was it able to put more samples with the same amount of min&max rate even though there was less amount of rays ? i know that its not a bug in vray mostly its something i don’t understand about the algorithm and i want to understand it so please help me with it
A Question About V-ray.Please take a look
Sorry If im intruding. I am not expert to answer the question where else i already have lots of questions. i dont know how to post i have tried but i am not sure. ok my question is…
please answer question2 no need to answer other questions if you are busy.
question 1- game needs some details. Is that same level details accepted for cinema. for films why you need that much detail explain formal and also whats your POV. Im in the place where 1080p and above 80mbps bitrate are acceptable format as for as i knew. So the resolution 1080p are similar to high end games. So If still that 1080p for games technique of making an animation clip is not equally qualified for theater for 1080p, why?. If something plays in bitrate, then any idea to make it work for theater by improvising that kind of game animation to be projected with the details which that theater 1080p Needs.
Question 2: Is Any one did an enviroinmen and composing with live actors in single normal home pc. how to orgonise render.please explain to question2. thats what must inspire me and make me move further.i am stuck now without reason.i am hopeless that i can learn or make it work in my pc…2gb ram, 1gb geforse 9400gt, 2X 2 phenon or something sounds like that.4 gb usb act as ram for cache.win64…please answer question2 no need to answer others too…
question 3. I knew basic composting. How to make a basic virtual set rendered photo realistically in single home pc.For 1080p.slight cam movement.I like the game lighting and feel of some action stealth games. So i knew a little above basic modeling, but can manage. lighting with 3 or more lights as possible for that game effect.Or If its not cheap i don’t need that lighting feel, i shall use simple lighting but that environment set needed to be there. I can manage the real actors to merge with animation with some damaging to actors footage(i mean tweaking with colors and ex-poser to match) So its looks interesting visuals, ready as film. ---------------LONG STORY SHORT : So i need that guidance how i should make a set(no of lowering poly count,And get render speed?) and lighting for really low or no budget virtual set. Since there is no tutorials or clever or clear guidance in that topic. Its so helpful and inspirational to me and others who are interested in making films/ short films.Sorry for long question really.I didn’t expect. But Someone m8 need knowledge like me.
Bro there is no bother at all but it seems ur asking about some pretty technical stuff, but if ur asking asking about tutorials or guidance you can check digitaltutor & gnomonworkshop website they have some awesome stuff about composite, lighting, making games everything from beginner to advanced level so I hope that helps and best wishes bro
Thanks for your friendly reply,I hope you’ll get your answer from experts here soon. But I dont know why there’s delay. A newbie came here first which can’t help on the subject.Ok anyway Thanks for all people who were voluntarily sharing knowledge.
