The composition could be improved. That little guy is placed unnecessarily close to the border of the image, making that area feel too cramped. You don’t really have room in the image for it currently, so I suggest you expand the canvas more.
The parallel stripes of top portion (sky), middle portion (ground), and bottom portion (water) creates a sterile and boring composition of three parallel stripes. You need to make them more organic and less rigid. My suggestion is to change the camera’s position completely. Go for a 3/4 angle.
The line of sight for the two foreground penguins are a bit odd–like they’re looking at something up in the sky. The three adult penguins also look kind of wooden and inexpressive. Give them facial expressions–sadness, disappointment, determination–something other than blank looks.
