A big mind, but no Clue... Help me....

I am a student who wants to create something in zbrush, please help me in some of these basic stuffs…

So i want to create a serious character (woman), and i just want to the clothes.

  1. A perfect Guide to create a hoodie and clothes. I want it to be a little open to the eye (ecchi like)

  2. Should i pose the base model first then crrating the clothes? Or i just rig it the moment the clothes is done?

  3. A perfect guide to make a pattern on clothes

Thanks guys… I really want to actually make something original in zbrush instead of just learning from youutube and other site…

you can use mesh extract to make cloth
http://pixologic.com/zbrush/features/MeshExtract/

its best to have your character standing in a T-POSE
meaning face forward and arms out and feet apart.
you dont want parts of the mesh close to the other like the arms down close to the body
because when you extract it doesn’t work well.

like if you want to make gloves you want fingers spread apart and not touching each other.

and T-POSE is what most people use when animating

mesh extract creates double sided mesh, meaning more then twice as much polygons.
you can get the same effect by extruding, meaning a lot less ploygons then mesh extract.

here is how i extruded this,
1 turn on polyframe to see the wire mesh
2 brush > slice curve, it will polygroup the mesh as it slices, tap the ALT key to make the line make a curve instead of straight
3 hide the parts you dont want extruded
4 use this tool to extrude the visible mesh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tJ9BvIdyjIE
