Can anyone confirm that 6.5 of vue will take in zbrush displacement models and render them,it seems that they say it renders out in infinate!

Has this been tried by anyone?

is there a workflow that can be veiwed.

I made two tests with the two “test files” from ZBrushcentral, the primitive man head, and the sword. The sword rendered perfect, but I got many artifacts on the head. I then took the head to Cinema4d and applied a hypernurbs on it ( subdivision modifier), and imported it back into Vue, then the displacment looked a lot better. The maps were GUV, so I don’t know if other map formats work, since I don’t have ZBrush.

The one thing you need to do so it works in Vue is change the y value of the map to -1 in the function editor, because by default in Vue black means 0 and white +1, changing the y value to -1 makes the neutral grey become zero, as it is in ZBrush.
